Michelle Lose of Bartlett has been selected as MRS. ILLINOIS GALAXY®, and will
represent Illinois in the MRS. GALAXY® pageant held July 18-22, 2007 in Orlando,
Florida!

During her reign this year, Michelle will make appearances for various charities,
make special presentations, and work with civic and non-profit oriented projects.

Michelle is a graduate of St. Edward High School in Elgin. Michelle went on to
receive her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Aurora University and her Master of Arts
Degree from Concordia University with a major in Education. She has been a teacher
for the past 10 year years and has taught various subject areas including, 3rd
Grade, 4th Grade, Elementary Art, and currently teaches kindergarten at Nature Ridge
Elementary School in Bartlett. Michelle is a strong advocate of the importance of
arts in the classroom.

Michelle states, \"I am honored to win the title of Mrs. Illinois Galaxy 2007, I plan
to do my best to shine a positive light on this fabulous pageant system!\"

Michelle also began her own e-business, www.bridalslippers.com, in which she designs
custom bridal shoes and accessories. Her business is becoming increasingly popular
in the United States and Internationally. Michelle\'s designs have been seen across
the country including England, Switzerland, Japan, Mexico, Canada, and Ireland.
Michelle donates a portion of every sale to benefit children\'s cancer. As the mother
of a child who won her battle with leukemia, Michelle created www.KidsWithCancer.org
to provide resources for parents of children with cancer. Through the use of various
links, Michelle puts cancer patients and their families in touch with relevant data
and current research trends to help them learn about the disease and to help them
cope with their child\'s illness. Michelle and her husband Steve have been married
for ten years. They reside in Bartlett with their children Stephanie, Alex, and
Ellen.

Michelle will join other contestants from across the United States and other
countries in Orlando, Florida this July. The competition will consist of five
proportional segments: photogenic, fashion wear, evening gown, fitness/swimsuit and
interview. During the competition, a panel of judges will score the contestants on
beauty, charm, personality, poise and the ability to articulate.

The winner of the Mrs. Galaxy Pageant will receive many fabulous prizes including
the opportunity to travel the nation and foreign countries for a year as a role
model and spokesperson for married women.
